WHITELAND
Glenda Marie (Brunson) Toon, 75, passed away on Sunday evening, October 14, 2018 in Franklin. She was a longtime resident of Whiteland, Indiana.
She was born on June 20, 1943 in Columbia, Kentucky, to Leroy and Catherine (Burton) Brunson. She married James “Jim” Toon on June 27, 1964. She is survived by their two children, James (Rhonda Challman) Toon of Franklin and Lisa (Ron) Shaffer of Camby, Indiana. She is also survived by grandchildren Paige (Tim) Russell; Courtney Toon, Anthony Cowan and Jeremy Toon and three great-grandchildren, Kyla, Addalyn and Paisley. Also surviving are two sisters, Judy Bancroft (Dale) and Barb Bryant. She was preceded in passing by her husband Jim; her parents and sister, Joann Dethridge.
Glenda was a graduate of Greenwood High School.
She was employed by Sears in Greenwood for fourteen years.
Glenda enjoyed playing Bingo and enjoyed going to casinos. She loved Elvis Presley and listening/dancing to his music. She truly enjoyed her many trips to Gulf Shores and the beach with her husband and best friends, Don and Chris Webb.
Rev. Chris Ellis will conduct a celebration of Glenda’s life on Thursday, October 18 at 7:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to time of service at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
