LAURENS, SOUTH CAROLINA AND FORMERLY OF CARMEL AND BROWN COUNTY
Willie B. (Moss) Slaton, age 93, went home to be with her Lord on October 27, 2018. She was a resident of Laurens, South Carolina and a former resident of Carmel and Brown County.
Willie was born August 19, 1925 to the late Albert Louis Moss and Stella (Buckalew) Moss. She married Estel Morgan Slaton on June 25, 1946. She resided with her husband in Carmel, Indiana for many years. They moved to their dream farm in Brown County, Indiana in 1973. In later years, after being widowed, she moved to Laurens, South Carolina with her daughter and son-in-law.
She was an exemplary wife, loving mother, wonderful grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a faithful member of the local churches where she lived. She was a resident of Langston Place in Clinton, South Carolina for the last 2 years.
She is survived by her daughter Wanda (Ervin) Stutzman, two grandchildren: Amanda (Bryan) Ferguson and Jeffry (Heather) Stutzman, four great-grandchildren, three sisters and one brother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and her husband, Estel.
Rev. Ervin Stutzman will conduct a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 2nd at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center: 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 4 – 8 p.m.on Thursday, November 1st at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
