Kindergarten students disguise turkeys in annual tradition

<p>Kindergarten students at Creekside Elementary School tried to get the turkeys a pardon.</p><p>They used puff balls to disguise a turkey as Santa Claus, a bubble gum machine and a snowman. They cut out paper into shapes to turn the gobblers into a cheerleader, a rock star and sunshine. Stickers were used to help disguise the bird as a birthday party.</p><p>Students in Aly Werner’s class have been disguising turkeys as a homework assignment for at least six years.</p><p>The activity allows the young students to practice their writing skills and allows them to get creative with a holiday assignment, she said.</p>[sc:text-divider text-divider-title="Story continues below gallery" ]Click here to purchase photos from this gallery<p>Here is a look at what some of her students have come up with:</p>
