Trojans’ Jackson-Davis chooses IU

The recruiting odyssey is over for Trayce Jackson-Davis.

On Friday afternoon, the Center Grove senior tweeted out a photo of himself in the crimson and cream of Indiana University with a simple message: “!! I AM COMMITTED !!”

Jackson-Davis, the heavy favorite to be named Indiana’s Mr. Basketball this season, chose the Hoosiers over Michigan State and UCLA.

Jackson-Davis rocketed his way up in the national recruiting rankings with a breakout junior season that saw him average 21.9 points, 9.3 rebounds and 4.1 blocks. He followed by winning a gold medal with Team USA this summer at the FIBA U18 Americas Championship.

He came into the high school season ranked among the top 20 prospects in the 2019 recruiting class by every major scouting service.

The 6-foot-9 Jackson-Davis joins Cathedral guard Armaan Franklin in the Hoosiers’ current crop. The two future teammates play against one another at Center Grove on Friday night.
