Center Grove selects new assistant superintendent

Center Grove Schools has chosen Nora Hoover as the new assistant superintendent of teaching and learning.

She will replace Jack Parker, who will join Mt. Vernon Community Schools as its superintendent in January.

Hoover is currently the executive director of human resources, a position she’s held since 2016. Her career at Center Grove has also included roles as the assistant director of secondary curriculum, Center Grove Middle School Central principal and before that, assistant principal, according to a news release from the school.

“Mrs. Hoover’s leadership and curriculum experience as a building principal and as assistant director of secondary curriculum in Center Grove have provided her with the unique qualifications necessary to take on this important role,” Superintendent Rich Arkanoff said in the release.

The school board is expected to approve Hoover’s new position in January.
