Crowe leads St. Francis women past Bethel

<p>St. Francis sophomore forward <strong>Sidney Crowe</strong> finished with 14 points, five rebounds and two assists in an 83-71 win over Bethel.</p><p>Crowe, a former Whiteland player, averages nine points a game for the Cougars (8-5), who return to action Tuesday at Pikeville (Kentucky).</p><p><strong>WHITELAND</strong></p><p>Illinois freshman center <strong>Mackenzie Blazek</strong> came off the bench to score 10 points, grab four boards and block a shot in an 84-52 defeat of Murray State.</p><p><strong>EDINBURGH</strong></p><p>Butler football player and starting center <strong>Dakota Sneed</strong> was named to the Academic All-Pioneer League second team. Sneed carries a 3.48 grade-point average as a science, technology and society major.</p><p><strong>CENTER GROVE</strong></p><p>Illinois State volleyball player <strong>Ali Line</strong> was named to the Google Cloud Academic All-America first team. Line, a nursing major, carries a 4.0 grade-point average.</p><p>DePauw guard <strong>Emma LeMasters</strong> had four points and two assists in a 66-37 defeat of Oberlin.</p><p>Senior guard <strong>Jessica Norris</strong> scored 19 points and distributed five assists for Holy Cross (Indiana) in a 69-50 defeat of Trinity International.</p><p><strong>Lauren Rau,</strong> a junior point guard at Lipscomb, scored eight points to go along with three steals and two assists in her team’s 62-53 loss to Tennessee-Martin.</p><p>Indiana State senior forward <strong>Regan Wentland</strong> had seven points, four boards, three steals and two blocks in a 60-53 win over UIC.</p><p><strong>Cassidy Hardin</strong> of Purdue started at guard and finished with two points, a rebound and one steak in the team’s 65-41 defeat of Loyola (Illinois).</p><p><strong>FRANKLIN</strong></p><p><strong>Skyler Lykins,</strong> a sophomore wrestler at Colorado School of Mines, completed the first half of the Orediggers’ season with a 4-2 record in the 157-pound weight class.</p><p><strong>GREENWOOD</strong></p><p>IUPUI junior point guard <strong>Holly Hoopingarner</strong> scored a team-high 20 points while grabbing five rebounds and dishing three assists in a 72-58 loss at No. 16 Iowa.</p><p>St. Francis freshman forward <strong>Jeffrey Reynolds</strong> pulled down four rebounds and blocked a shot in the Cougars’ 82-69 victory over 15th-ranked Bethel.</p><p>Mount Mary (Wisconsin) guard <strong>Brooke Uebersetzig</strong> had eight points and three rebounds in a 54-31 win over Crown (Minnesota).</p><p><strong>INDIAN CREEK</strong></p><p>Indiana Tech senior <strong>Dylan Phair</strong> scored 21 points and grabbed four rebounds in an 85-68 defeat of Cornerstone.</p><p><strong>Tim Abel</strong>, a sophomore guard at Cincinnati Christian, scored nine points in a 104-78 road win over Asbury (Kentucky). He added 10 points in an 87-86 defeat of Wilberforce.</p><p>Bethel backup guard <strong>Jared DeHart</strong> contributed eight points, an assist and a steal in the Pilots’ 82-69 loss to St. Francis.</p>
