A local church invites to community to celebrate the grand opening of its new building additions.
Southland Community Church, located at 5800 W. Smith Valley Road in Greenwood, is conducting a Christmas celebration to commemorate the completion of the Worship Center, HUB gathering space and Southland Cafe.
The celebration begins at 10 a.m. Sunday and includes a 30-piece orchestra, a 40-member choir and soloists and other musicians set to perform. Local dignitaries and Southland leadership will cut the ribbon and host worship activities in the new facility.
To close the event, "The Saving Christmas Concert" will be performed by the orchestra, choir and other musicians at 4:30 p.m.
