Arlene D. Crook

GREENWOOD

Arlene Dorothy Quackenbush, age 91, of Greenwood, beloved wife of the late Herbert Crook, passed away on December 15, 2018.

Arlene was born on August 26, 1927 in Webster, NY to the late Albert Sr. and Dorothy Quackenbush. Arlene graduated of Freedom State University in NY in 1949. She was an elementary education teacher for many years as well as being a home maker. She retired from OMS in 2000. She was a THEOS Mentor (They Help Each Other Spiritually, a Widow/Widower Support Group). Arlene was a active member of The Center Grove Presbyterian Church Choir for many years. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include her loving cherished children, Lynda Herbison (the late Michael), Larry Crook (Judy) and Steven Crook (Rebecca); her treasured grandchildren, Jordan Taylor (Andrew), Ashley Ledder (Ethan), Shiloh Crook, Josiah Crook and Joshua Crook (Mildred Espinosa), Austin Crook (Taylor Huffman), Evan Crook, Michael Herbison (Kim) and Sheila Burr; 10 great grandchildren and one brother, Albert Quackenbush, Jr.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sisters, the late Cece Baker and Eva Dodge.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 19, at 3:00 pm at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Greenwood Chapel. The family will receive guests at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Burial will take place in Hamberg, NY.

Flowers will be accepted at the funeral home.
