Daily Journal publisher, wife purchase Overhead Door

<p><strong>Staff Reports</strong></p><p>Chuck Wells, who leaves his position today as group publisher for AIM Media Indiana, including the Daily Journal of Franklin, and his wife Suzanne have purchased Overhead Door Company of Columbus from another Columbus couple.</p><p>Don and Pat Schmidt, who worked side-by-side to run and grow Overhead Door Company of Columbus for more than 53 years, will retire following Wednesday’s sale.</p><p>The purchase price was not immediately disclosed.</p><p>The Wellses are renaming the business Overhead Door Company of South Central Indiana, reflecting its 11-county sales and service area. The franchise serves businesses and residents from Whiteland in Johnson County south to the Ohio River.</p><p>“Overhead Door of Columbus is a widely respected local business with very talented and committed employees. I hope to honor the Schmidts’ contributions and continue to grow the business,” Wells said.</p>
