Man confines 2 people, threatens with knife

<p>A man was arrested after threatening to murder his mother and her boyfriend.</p><p>Keyshawn Brown, 18, 4337 W. County Line Road, Lot 268, Greenwood, was arrested on charges of criminal confinement with a deadly weapon, intimidation with a deadly weapon and illegal possession and consumption of alcohol.</p><p>Police responded to a family dispute call Tuesday evening. Brown’s mother told police he was in the back bedroom with a knife threatening to murder her and her boyfriend, according to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office report.</p><p>When police went to the room, Brown had given the knife to the man he was threatening. He told police that the dispatcher on the phone convinced him to give up the knife, the report said.</p><p>Brown told police he was upset because his mother threw a bottle of alcohol at him after she found out he drank the alcohol without her knowledge. He said he then grabbed a knife from the kitchen and confined the two people to the back bedroom where he made threats to attempt to murder them, the report said.</p><p>Brown was arrested and booked into Johnson County Jail. He is held on $20,300 bond.</p>
