Resident killed in weekend crash

A Trafalgar resident was killed and another man seriously injured in a two-car crash this weekend, Johnson County Sheriff Doug Cox said.

Thomas Miller, 35, died as a result of the crash on Saturday night. The other driver, Justin Mcilquham, 36, of Nineveh, was taken by helicopter to Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital.

The accident happened about 8:30 p.m. on South Nineveh Road, south of State Road 252 in southern Johnson County. Miller was driving northbound, and Mcilquham was southbound, the sheriff’s office investigation determined. Mcilquham crossed the center line, hitting Miller head on, the sheriff’s office report said.

Sheriff’s deputies found no signs that the driver was under the influence, but his blood-alcohol content was taken, which is standard in fatal or serious-injury crashes.
