County leading central Indiana in home sales growth

<p><strong>J</strong>ohnson County led central Indiana with the greatest increase in home sales in 2018, as compared to the previous year.</p><p>The number of homes sold through November 2018 was up 5.6 percent in Johnson County, compared to the same time period in 2017, according to data from the Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of Realtors. In 2018 through November, 2,723 homes were sold in Johnson County.</p><p>All nine Central Indiana counties also saw an increase in average sale price for homes. In Johnson County, the average sales price is up to $213,515, from $202,324 the previous year.</p>[sc:text-divider text-divider-title="Story continues below gallery" ]Click here to purchase photos from this gallery<p>The figure is also a 65 percent increase from a recessional low of $122,559.</p><p>“Johnson County is one of the hottest markets in Central Indiana,” Mutual Savings Bank President and CEO David Coffey said. “It has great school systems, a great environment where you can relax and spend time. Companies around here are great places to work.”</p>
