Franklin choirs earn top awards at competition

Choirs from Franklin Community High School snagged top overall awards at a weekend show choir competition.

Sensations and Heritage Singers show choirs competed in the Pendleton Heights Arabian Spectacular Show Choir Competition and both won grand champions in their divisions. Both also earned caption awards for best visuals and best vocals.

Franklin students also took the top two places in the solo competition. MaKayla Cox placed second and Addie Mudd was named the grand champion.

Franklin Community next hosts more than 50 choirs and more than 60 soloists from four states at its 4th annual ShowFest 2019 competition this Friday and Saturday.

Show choirs Radiance and Velocity will perform on Friday night and Heritage Singers and Sensations will perform on Saturday in exhibition.
