Hearts & Darts – February 18

Hearts and darts

Hearts

I would like to thank all of our police and pire staff, pirst responders, street department and utility service personnel for your service during the frigid cold couple of days we recently experienced. Thank you for your service to our great city and our citizens even in the worst of weather conditions. I would also like to thank the citizens of Franklin for respecting the dangerously low temperatures we experienced, by keeping the traffic volume to a minimum during these times. We appreciate the lower than normal traffic volume during these times. I am proud to live in and serve this great city.

Chief Kirby Cochran

Franklin Police Department

Hearts to the 42 downtown Franklin businesses for participating in this year’s Love Local campaign during the month of February. Thank you for donating gift cards and prizes to make this such a fun yearly tradition for faithful downtown Franklin supporters.

Krista Linke

Discover Downtown Franklin President

In late January, my husband and I collided with another vehicle on U.S. 31 in Franklin. I called 911 and it seemed as if the police were there immediately. The purpose of this “heart” is to share that the Franklin police officers could not have been more courteous and reassuring. They let us know exactly what to expect, called the wrecker, and offered to assist us in finding a way home. Experiencing this level of professionalism kept a bad situation from seeming much worse. I only have the name of the investigating officer, Greg Reichert, but I want to extend our appreciation to both of the officers who responded.

Anne Young

Morgantown
