Franklin wins county championship
Franklin’s unbeaten seventh-grade team rolled through the Johnson County tournament this week. The Grizzly Cubs beat Greenwood 61-12 and Center Grove North 58-30 before routing Center Grove Central 50-16 in the championship game.

Adams places 16th at nationals
Franklin College senior Nathan Adams finished 16th in the weight throw Friday night at the NCAA Division III indoor track and field championships in Boston.
Adams, who entered as the 18th seed, finished with a top effort of 18.04 meters (59 feet, 2 1/4 inches).
