Moran spent five years as principal of Webb Elementary School, with previous experience as a literacy coach, Title I coordinator and as a classroom teacher in third, fifth and sixth grade, including when she taught at Custer Baker during the school’s first two years, according to a news release.

“This is an incredibly gifted group of teachers who care about students at (Custer Baker) and I want to be a part of that again,” Moran said in the release. “I am also interested in making the transition from elementary school to intermediate school a time that students look forward to and cherish.”

Zook is returning to the district after spending three years at North Decatur Elementary School as the assistant principal. During his time in Greensburg, he also served as the district’s high ability coordinator and got certified as a school safety specialist. His experience in Johnson County schools includes six years as a teacher at East Side Elementary School, according to a release.

“Cole will bring positive and upbeat energy to Franklin Community Schools,” Superintendent David Clendening said in the release. “His experience with Title I programs, his leadership style and his personality will be a great fit for Webb Elementary.”

Korreck has been the principal of Clinton Young Elementary School, part of the Perry Township district, for 15 years and has lived in Johnson County for more than 25 years. She is the current president of the Indiana Association of School Principals, according to a release.

“Franklin is a growing and thriving community, and it is an honor to be coming to such an outstanding school corporation,” Korreck said in the release. “Having served as an educator for over 25 years, I am thrilled to bring my experience to Franklin.”
