Three arrested on drug charges

Police arrested three people on multiple drug charges after sheriff’s deputies pulled over a car that was weaving between lanes on State Road 135 near Bargersville.

About 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, sheriff’s deputies noticed a car cross the center line several times on State Road 135 near County Road 500 North, and then drift back into its lane.

The driver, Scott A. Speers, 41, 4911 Allison Road, Camby, had a suspended driver’s license and warrant for his arrest, according to a report from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.

The passengers, Brittney D. Charlesworth-Brim, 35, 3191 Grace Street, Greenwood, and Dustin W. Soubeih, 34, 88 Meadow Creek Blvd., Whiteland, were also arrested on various drug possession charges after police searched them and the car.

Charlesworth-Brim said the vehicle was hers, and gave police permission to search it, according to the report.

In it, police found a glass smoking device used to smoke methamphetamine, a small clear plastic baggie that contained crystal meth, and another that contained marijuana, the report said.

Police searched Charlesworth-Brim and found a marijuana scale in her pants, another baggie that contained crystal meth in her bra and a small plastic box that contained a controlled substance.

Speers was arrested on the warrant and an additional charge of driving while suspended with a prior conviction. He is being held at the Johnson County jail without bond.

Charlesworth-Brim was arrested on charges of possession of paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance. She is being held at the jail on $6,400 bond.

Soubeih was arrested on charges of possession of paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana. He is being held at the jail on $3,200 bond.
