Man threatens patrons with knife, urinates near door

Greenwood police arrested an Indianapolis man after he threatened Walmart employees and patrons, then urinated outside the front door.

Richard Johnson, 33, 2051 Windsor Parkway, Apt. C, was arrested on charges of public indecency and public intoxication, both misdemeanors.

About 5 a.m. Tuesday, the manager of the Walmart on Emerson Avenue called 911 after he received reports from customers that Johnson, who was stumbling through the store, was aggressive and had threatened them with a knife, according to a Greenwood police report.

When the manager asked Johnson to leave, he did, then exposed his genitalia in public and urinated near the doors, the report said.

Police later found Johnson stumbling through a nearby bank parking lot and stopped him. He told police he peed outside the store, and acknowledged he was intoxicated, police said.

They found a pocket knife and half-empty liquor bottle in his pockets, the report said.

He was taken to the Johnson County jail where he is held on $2,000 bond.
