HOOSIER VINTAGE WHEELS SHOW, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Johnson County fairgrounds; $5 adults, kids free

No matter what kind of car and car accessories you’re into, you’ll be able to find something of interest at this, one of the largest swap meets and car shows in central Indiana.

The show, now in its fifth year, will feature more than 500 vendors will be on hand with new and used parts, supplies and tools for muscle cars, race cars and classic cars and trucks, as well as vintage automotive items, memorabilia, gas and oil antiques, bicycles and more. In addition, Saturday will include a model car show and swap meet with 80 tables of vendors, as well as a classic car show.

Food vendors will be on hand, and parking is free.

FREE FISHING DAY, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Johnson County Park, 2949 E. North St., Nineveh.

The lazy summertime ritual of casting a fishing line, watching the bobber and reeling in a whopper is a timeless one. Local residents can try their hand for free, without a license, on this annual celebration of fishing.

Bring your own pole and tackle box, and park staff will have some available for use as well. Then take your place along the banks of Lake Cottonwood and see if you can create a fish tale of your own.
