Man in critical condition after shooting himself in Franklin parking lot

<p>A man is in critical condition at an Indianapolis hospital after he shot himself in the stomach in the parking lot of a Franklin trampoline park late Wednesday night.</p><p>Franklin police were dispatched to Urban Air at 1172 N. Main St., at 11:37 p.m. to a report of a person who was shot. The officer arrived and saw a man lying on the ground next to a vehicle in the parking lot and a woman who was applying pressure to the man’s stomach.</p><p>The woman told police that she was an acquaintance of the man and he was upset at her because he could not reach her throughout the day. The man then began walking around the parking lot with a gun and at one point, held the gun to his head, according to a Franklin Police Department report.</p><p>The man then got into his vehicle. When the woman went to leave the parking lot, she saw the man put the gun to his head and then shoot himself in the stomach, the report said.</p><p>The woman jumped out of her vehicle to help the man and was administering first aid when police arrived, the report said.</p><p>Another woman at the scene told police the man and woman were talking at the scene when the man became upset and shot himself. This woman called police after the gun shot, according to the report.</p><p>The man was taken to Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital, where he was still in critical condition Thursday morning.</p>
