EDINBURGH
Myrtle O. Cox, 83, of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away June 21, 2019 at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour, Indiana. She was born June 12, 1936 in Johnson County, Indiana. She was the daughter of Perry and Hazel (Huff) Nichols.
She married Albert B. “Dude” Cox on January 9, 1955. He preceded her on August 25, 2014.
She is survived by her son, Tim (Tina) Cox of Rockville, Indiana, daughters, Melody Cox of Elizabethtown, Indiana and Dawn (Matt) Campbell of Franklin, Indiana, granddaughters, Amber Farricker and Kate Campbell, and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parent, husband, and brother, Norman Nichols.
Myrtle was a member of Edinburgh Apostolic Tabernacle and Order of Eastern Star, #439 in Franklin, Indiana.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching wildlife, attending church, and traveling.
The family would like to thank her dear friends, Ellis and Lola Taylor and Erin Fewell for all that they did for Myrtle. They would also like to acknowledge Schneck Medical Center for their wonderful and compassionate care given to their mom.
A funeral service will be conducted at noon on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 by Reverend Mark Myers at Edinburgh Apostolic Tabernacle. Calling will be from 10 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
