NATIONAL NIGHT OUT, 5 to 8 p.m. Aug. 6, Franklin Aquatic Center, 396 Branigin Blvd. The Franklin Police and Johnson County Sheriff’s departments are hosting a National Night Out. The event is meant to promote police and community partnerships. The event will include a free hot dog, chips and water and fun activities for the whole family. The first 160 attendees will receive a free small dish of Lickity Slick shaved ice and free entry into the Franklin Family Aquatic Center.
JOHNSON COUNTY MUSEUM TRIVIA NIGHT, 6:30 p.m. August 8, 135 N. Main St., Franklin. Join us in a test of knowledge for Trivia Night at the Museum. The event will be held in the museum auditorium and is a fundraiser for the 2019 Dancing with the Johnson County Stars. Sign up with your trivia team that includes between two and eight people. Entry fee is $20 per person and includes two slices of pizza and one soda or water.
