Roncalli hosting 50-year event

Roncalli High School will host its 50-year homecoming celebration.

At halftime of the Sept. 27 football game against Brebeuf Jesuit, the graduating classes from 50 and 25 years ago will be recognized.

Awards will be given for Alumni of the Year, Honorary Alumni and Spirit of Family.

After the presentations, the homecoming festivities will continue under the big tent with food, drink and a live band performance by local favorite Tastes Like Chicken.

The gathering is for people 21 years and older. Tickets are $10 and include food and the band. Kickoff time for the game is 7 p.m.

Indian Creek’s food pantry now open

Indian Creek High School’s student led food pantry is now open.

The Brave Pantry is located in Room 102 at the high school and will be open from 4 to 5:30 p.m. the first Thursday of each month.

Clients should enter through door 32S, located on the south side of the high school building.

The Brave Pantry is a food pantry serving Nineveh-Hensley-Jackson United School Corporation employees, students and their families.

Indiana College offering homework help

Students who need help with homework in STEM subjects can call a hotline for help.

Middle school and high school students who need the help can connect with Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology’s AskRose’s free tutoring service.

Rose-Hulman students are available from 7 to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday during the school year to help youth in grades 6-12 review math and science concepts.
