Camby man arrested and charged with sexual battery

A Camby man has been arrested and charged with sexual battery after forcing a girl to touch him inappropriately, police said.

Walker E. Spurlock, 21, 12858 N. Robertson St., was arrested on the Level 6 felony on Tuesday.

He was taken to the Johnson County jail, where he is held without bond. Charging documents were filed Aug. 12 in Johnson County Circuit Court. If convicted, he faces up to two and half years in prison.

In July, police were called to a Franklin home and told that Spurlock forced a girl to touch him inappropriately.

The girl told detectives that Spurlock had come into her bedroom around midnight and woke her up by squeezing her side, according to charging documents filed in Johnson County Circuit Court.

She told detectives that Walker had pulled up her shirt to squeeze bare skin on her side. Spurlock then made the victim touch him inappropriately, according to court documents.

Spurlock then asked the victim if she was OK and she told him she wasn’t. The girl told detectives that she was afraid when the incident occurred because she thought Spurlock would rape her, according to court documents.

Spurlock told police that the victim had asked him about sex before, according to the court documents.
