Hearts & Darts – November 11

Hearts

Again, I am so encouraged by your article (Janet Mangas) about Rise and Shine. Thank you for giving God the Glory. That was great and I so much appreciate it. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and your heart in these articles.

On Oct. 9 I left my credit card at Great Clips. A very kind young hairdresser named Courtney Owen called me as soon as it was found. Because I can no longer drive, she was kind enough to bring it to me. A simple kindness like that is SO appreciated by a senior citizen. Thank you SO much!

I know we have kind, dedicated, helpful Firemen at all of the Franklin Fire Stations. However, we have personal experience with Station 22, and it is imperative that we publicly recognize them for coming to our rescue. We can’t thank them enough and want them to know how much we appreciate their kindness.

To Seals Ambulance service. The patients you transport know their bodies better than you ever will. When you tell them they’re not sick – you humiliate them. I was sick, admitted with upper left lobe pneumonia and severe sepsis and a 102.6 fever. I called Seals three times and NO ONE RETURNED MY CALLS. I suggest that Seals re-educate their EMT’s to be compassionate first responders, not to play doctor. If a patient says he or she is sick, they most likely are!
