Suspects forced their way into the gun shop at 9 p.m. Nov. 12 and took nine guns, the news release said.

The suspects will likely face federal charges, as the gun shop is federally licensed, which gives the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives jurisdiction, said Suzanne Dabkowski, a spokeswoman with the bureau.

The bureau is investigating the case with the Greenwood Police Department. Police officials said Tuesday they would not release most information because the investigation is active and the bureau is releasing pertinent information.
