JOHNSON COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY TEEN ART CONTEST, now through Dec. 1 by 5 p.m. Teen artists have a limited number of places to freely express and showcase their talents.
How to enter: Pick up an entry form at any Johnson County Public Library Branch or visit www.pageafterpage.org/teens for a complete list of rules. All artwork should be submitted to any Johnson County Public Library reference desk along with a completed and signed entry form.
Contest dates: The top three winners in each age category, grades 6-9 and grades 10-12, will win a prize. Winners will be announced in January. All submissions will be on display at our Franklin Branch from 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 11, for the Teen Art Contest Reception.
4TH ANNUAL CHOCOLATE EXTRAVAGANZA, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 30, Sycamore at Mallow Run, 7070 Whiteland Road, Bargersville. Come celebrate Small Business Saturday with over 50 local vendors and merchants.
Vendors include handmade signs, afghans, popcorn, kids costumes, clothing and fine jewelry, the perfect gifts for the upcoming holiday season. The event also includes live music, food trucks, a coffee bar and free chocolate to create a wonderful experience.
100% of the event’s proceeds go to Haven Women’s Ministry and Big Life, both nonprofits.
