Just before noon Wednesday, a Johnson County sheriff’s deputy was called to a home in the 7200 block of W. Stones Crossing Road. While the deputy was en route, dispatch was informed that two children and guns were taken from the home, according to a report from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.

A man told police he was sitting in his home with two children when suddenly a man was standing in his living room with a shotgun pointed at them, according to the report.

The man told police he told the man to leave, then called 911, the report said.

A second man who was also at the home at the time told police a man came into the home, pointed a shotgun at him and told him to get out. The man who pointed the gun at him then left the home, the report said.

One of the men discovered two guns had been stolen, according to the report.

Frazee told police she called her friend, Lasley, to pick up her two children. Lasley arrived with Pittman. Frazee said she took her children and two guns out to the pair and they drove off, the report said.

Jackson came back to the home where deputies discovered he was wanted out of Brown County for possession of methamphetamine, according to the report.

Jackson told deputies he took the gun without permission and hid it near the home because he was a felon and is not allowed to possess firearms, the report said.

Lasley and Pittman were seen driving past the home, and police conducted a traffic stop. Pittman told police her boyfriend, Lasley, was asked to pick up the children. She said she drove for awhile and was asked to bring the children back, according to the report.

When a deputy asked about the guns, Pittman told police she didn’t have any information about them. Lasley told police he threw a gun behind a nearby storage facility. An deputy found two guns behind that facility. Video footage from the storage facility shows Pittman and Lasley discarding the stolen guns.

Everyone was arrested and booked into the Johnson County jail.
