James A. and Mary A. (Dickerson) Russell have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary and have plans to celebrate with a family cruise to the Bahamas.
The couple were married on December 20, 1969 at St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral in Bardstown, Kentucky by Father Mitchell.
Mary is employed at Greenwood Middle School and James is retired from Eli Lilly and Company.
The couple have four children, Anna Campanella of Franklin; Linda Wilkins of York, Pennsylvania; Rebecca Hobbs of Anderson, South Carolina; and Melissa Plunkett of Shelbyville. They have eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
