<p>Giles named new Franklin coach</p>
<p>Franklin announced the hiring of Jess Giles as its new varsity volleyball coach on Monday afternoon, bringing one of the greatest players in school history back into the fold.</p>
<p>Giles, nee Jess Admire, was the Daily Journal’s Player of the Year and an All-State pick in 2014 after leading the Grizzly Cubs to a sectional championship. She then moved on to Butler before transferring to Indiana University, where she completed her degree in human biology.</p>
<p>She replaces Roxanne Chapman, who stepped down after four seasons at the helm.</p>
