Giles named new Franklin coach
Franklin announced the hiring of Jess Giles as its new varsity volleyball coach on Monday afternoon, bringing one of the greatest players in school history back into the fold.
Giles, nee Jess Admire, was the Daily Journal’s Player of the Year and an All-State pick in 2014 after leading the Grizzly Cubs to a sectional championship. She then moved on to Butler before transferring to Indiana University, where she completed her degree in human biology.
She replaces Roxanne Chapman, who stepped down after four seasons at the helm.
