A Greenwood man is charged with child molesting after a girl told police he made her perform sexual acts when she was 9 or 10 years old.
Marcus Frankel, 34, was arrested and charged with one count of child molesting, a Level 3 felony. If convicted, he faces up to 16 years in prison.
A 10-year-old girl told Greenwood police in March that Frankel was sexually abusing her. The girl told police that after school she would change clothes and Frankel would come into her room with no clothes on, according to court documents filed on Dec. 11 in Johnson County Superior Court 3.
The victim told police Frankel would kiss her on the lips and make her perform a sexual act on him. The sexual act happened a few times, according to court documents.
Police contacted Frankel’s attorney but had not heard back, court documents said. A warrant was issued for Frankel’s arrest.
Frankel, 401 La Reforma Drive, was arrested Friday morning and taken to the Johnson County jail, where he is held on $16,000 bond.
