Men’s basketball wins seventh straight
Franklin College ran its winning streak to seven games on Wednesday by pulling out an 85-80 victory at Mount St. Joseph on Wednesday.
Payton Mills scored 18 points to lead five players in double digits for the Grizzlies (10-4, 6-1 HCAC). Franklin College also got 16 points from Borden Kennedy, 15 from Sam Gutierrez, 14 from Matt Krause and 13 from Kale Morris.
Reece Thomson, who played his high school basketball at Franklin, scored four points in defeat for Mount St. Joseph.
Women’s basketball falls at home
Franklin College was knocked off by visiting Mount St. Joseph, 74-68, on Wednesday evening. Bayleigh Walker had 18 points for the Grizzlies (8-5, 4-3 HCAC), who also got 12 points each from Destinee Cross and Jessica Nix.
