Woodmen cruise past Speedway

Eleven Greenwood swimmers posted personal bests in a sweep of Speedway on Thursday evening.

The Woodmen girls won, 119-52, getting individual wins from Alayna Kenworthy (200 individual medley, 100 backstroke), Madison Peckinpaugh (500 free, 100 breaststroke), Grace Nuhfer (50 free, 100 butterfly), Charli Graves (200 free), Grace Taylor (diving) and Ava Leininger (100 free).

On the boys side, Greenwood earned a 102-66 win behind first-place finishes from Conner Peckinpaugh (200 and 500 free), Luke Ellington (200 IM), Noah Chaplin (diving), Andrew Mears (butterfly), Isaiah Ray (100 free) and Joe Sheets (breaststroke).

Warriors hold on for road win

Whiteland held off a late charge to earn a 67-62 victory at Shelbyville on Thursday. The victory improves the Warriors to 10-11 on the season.
