Emma Pearl (Hart) Heck 87 of Franklin, IN passed away Sunday, February 23, 2020 at the Indiana Masonic Home at Compass Park in Franklin, IN. She was born August 2, 1932 in Indianapolis, IN to Ben and Emma (Ashlock) Hart. She married William "Bill" Heck Sr. on January 16, 1953 in Indianapolis, IN, he survives.

She was a graduate of George Washington High School in Indianapolis. She had worked in the mailroom at the Christian Church Disciples of Christ regional office in Indianapolis, IN. She was a member of Mt. Auburn Christian Church in Edinburgh, IN. She loved traveling with her husband. She voluntered for the American Red Cross having been a candy striper for them during the Korean War and also having volunteered at the Indianapolis Veterans Hospital.

Survivors include her husband William "Bill" Heck Sr., four sons William "Bill" Heck, Robert "Bob" Heck, Brad Heck (Allene) and Brian Heck (Bethanne Maus), nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her three brothers Clifford Hart, Raymond Hart, Fred Hart and four sisters Belva Van Hook, Alice Hart, Lela Bowman and Blanche Hart.

Chaplain Elaine Clark will conduct a service Thursday, February 27, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN where friends may call from 12:30 until service time at the mortuary.
