Bargersville water customers who are required to complete annual backflow tests will receive notices from a new company, Aqua Backflow, beginning March 15.
About 3,000 Bargersville Water Utility customers will receive notices to complete state required testing from the company, according to a news release from the Town of Bargersville. The majority of notices will be sent to customers who have irrigation and sprinkler systems.
The Indiana Department of Environmental Management requires the Bargersville Water Utility to maintain a backflow/cross connection control program to help safeguard the public water system, according to the news release.
All test results must be submitted by a state certified backflow tester through the electronic method provided by Aqua Backflow, the news release said.
