Libraries team up to offer free internet service

Johnson County libraries are closed for the time being, but both the Greenwood and Johnson County public library systems are continuing to offer free internet service outside their buildings.

Although Johnson County residents cannot enter the buildings themselves, they can still park in parking lots outside six different library branches and access free internet service. The Clark-Pleasant, Franklin, Library Services Center, Trafalgar and White River branches of the Johnson County library are taking part, as well as the Greenwood Public Library, Clark-Pleasant branch manager Davin Kolderup said in an email.

The "Guest" Wi-Fi network for all those branches has no password or logon credentials required, and is always available for connection, he said.
[sc:pullout-title pullout-title="If you go" ][sc:pullout-text-begin]
Johnson County residents can go to the parking lots of the following six library branches and access free internet service via their "Guest" accounts:

Clark Pleasant Branch – 530 Tracy Road, New Whiteland

Franklin Branch – 401 State St., Franklin

Library Services Center – 49 E.
