FRANKLIN

William E. “Teddy Bear” Price 82 of Franklin, IN passed away Friday, April 24, 2020 at Franciscan Hospice House in Indianapolis, IN. He was born May 29, 1937 in Edinburgh, IN.

He was a 1955 graduate of Edinburgh High School. He served his country in the United States Army. He had been a sales associate for Leonard Ford Sales in Edinburgh and also Randolph Hardware both in Edinburgh. He later became a shuttle driver for Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin for ten years. He was an avid sports fan especially football and NASCAR or anything that drove fast and turned left. His love of animals was evident with the six dogs he and his wife Judy loved and cared for including Winnie, Missy, Bamer, Amy, Amy, Tilly and their 28 year old Pete the Parrott.

Survivors include his wife Judy M. (Randolph) Price whom he married on October 26, 1968 at Jollity United Methodist Church in Edinburgh, IN she survives and a resident of Franklin, IN, their chosen son Kevin M. Rice of Edinburgh, IN, a granddaughter Ella Rice, brother in law Donald Randolph (Sue) of Phoenix, AZ, 7 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Price, mother Elsie Mae (Lykins) Malone and his sister Barbara Pruett.

His family and many dear friends will always remember him by his laugh and love to joke with everyone around. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, a celebration of life service will be forthcoming. A private family inurnment will take place at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh, IN. Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN is handling arrangements.
