Sheriff’s office looking for Edinburgh man charged with battery

The sheriff’s office is searching for an Edinburgh man who was charged with battery in March.

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office is looking for Donnie Lucas Goff, Jr., 40, who resides in the Edinburgh area at three different addresses, according to a sheriff’s office news release.

Goff is wanted out of Johnson County Superior Court 3 on charges of battery resulting in bodily injury and breaking and entering, after a man reported that Goff attacked him while they were in the home of an acquaintance, according to a probable cause affidavit filed March 19.

The man told Edinburgh police that Goff walked into the house without his knowledge, started punching him, and at one point, threw a chair at him before fleeing the house on a bike. He told police Goff thought he stole money from him, court documents said.

A warrant was filed for Goff’s arrest on March 20, according to court documents. Police have left messages at his last known address, and he has not responded, court documents said.

Those with knowledge of Goff’s whereabouts should contact the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office tip line at 317-346-4654, 911 or Crime Stoppers at 317-262-8477.
