Linda Sue (Hostetter) Chipman, 79, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at Rosegate Village in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was a resident of Franklin, Indiana.
</p>
<p>
She was born on March 15, 1941 in Bedford, Indiana to Murle and Lucille (Hamilton) Hostetter. She married Franklin Keck Chipman on June 4, 1960. He preceded her in passing. Survivors include her children, Kathy Chipman Mathews (Dennis) of Franklin, Indiana, Lori Chipman Weeks of Indianapolis, Indiana, Joni Chipman Streit (Jason) of Indianapolis, Indiana, David Chipman of Martinsville, Indiana, and Michael Chipman (Nickie) of Burlington, Kentucky; sister Lucy Hostetter Clensy (Phil) of Middletown, Indiana; 22 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in passing by her parents; husband; sister, Marilyn Hostetter; brother, Gary Hostetter; and son-in-law, John Weeks.
</p>
<p>
Linda graduated as Salutatorian from Needmore High School in 1959.
</p>
<p>
In addition to her duties as a homemaker she was a secretary; classroom assistant; and cafeteria cashier at Franklin College.
</p>
<p>
She was a member of the Franklin First Assembly of God.
</p>
<p>
The Chipman family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Rosegate Village.
</p>

"Linda loved to laugh, loved her family and loved her God. She was a shining example of faith and strength. The family is proud to call her ours."

<p>
Visitation for Linda will be Saturday, May 16, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton Street Franklin, Indiana 46131. A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
