James (J.B.) Allen Braughton passed from this world on May 23, 2020. He was born to his late parents, Benjamin Sr. and LaFrenda Braughton on July 8, 1939.
</p>
<p>
He was a quiet and reserved man who had a unique laugh that made anyone around him chuckle. He loved his family and friends deeply while enjoying life to the fullest.
</p>
<p>
He worked at Eli Lilly for 36 years, retiring as a supervisor. He was also a member of the Jubilee Mason Lodge 746.
</p>
<p>
He is survived by his best friend and partner in life: Sherri Ardelean; five children: Marsheila G. Braughton-Tidwell, James E. Braughton, Douglas A. Braughton, David A. Braughton, and Michael A. Braughton; three brothers: the late Richard (Dick) Braughton, John (Bud) Braughton, and Benjamin Braughton, Jr.; twelve grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. All surviving family members will miss him every day.

To honor J.B.’s final wishes, no service will be held. Arrangements are in the care of Simplicity Funeral & Cremation Care, Indianapolis.
