Two Trojan seniors positioned in top 10
Center Grove teammates Peyton Short and Caleb Tidd are both positioned in the top 10 after the first round of the Indiana Class of 2020 Senior Open, which is being played at The Legends.
Short finished with a 1-over-par round of 73, putting himself in a tie for fifth place overall. Tidd, who carded a 74, is tied for eighth. Tyler Nickol of Avon leads the way after shooting a 69, which puts him three shots ahead of the field entering today’s final round.
No other local players were among the 41 who made the cut following Wednesday’s round. Kyle Bachmann of Center Grove shot an 84, Whiteland’s Zach Ricketts finished at 85 and Jonah Tracy of Center Grove wound up at 88.
