Rebecca "Betty" (Orr) Davenport, age 90 of Greenwood, passed away on June 3, 2020. She was a former longtime resident of Whiteland, Indiana. She was born on February 8, 1930 in Elnora, Indiana to Milton and Lena (Manning) Orr.
</p>
<p>
Betty is survived by two daughters, Tonya (George) Tow and Rebecca "Becky" Davenport; six grandchildren, Scott Lyon, Crystal Lyon, Christopher Lyon, Diana Clifton, Travis Gardner and Joanna Kincer.
</p>
<p>
Also surviving is ten great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and one sister, Nancy Khan of Southport, Indiana.
</p>
<p>
She was preceded in passing by her parents; spouse, Claude Davenport; son, Michael Davenport; sisters, Olive Townsend, Joanna Stewart and Sally Orr and brother, Robert Orr.
</p>
<p>
She was a tutor at Whiteland Elementary for several years. Betty was a member of the United Methodist Church in Whiteland for many years. She was a Girl Scout leader for sixty-one years.
</p>
<p>
A visitation utilizing COVID 19 restrictions and social distancing for senior aged family and friends or those with underlying medical conditions will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for family and friends on June 6th at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Rev. Joe Wyatt will conduct a service on Saturday, June 6th at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, June 7th at 1:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Elnora, Indiana.
