Freedom Springs set to reopen Monday

<p>Freedom Springs Aquatics Park is set to reopen Monday to a limited number of guests and with several new restrictions to accommodate social distancing guidelines.</p><p>The Greenwood pool plans to open its gates Monday to season pass holders only, according to a City of Greenwood news release. The city released several guidelines guests will have to follow, including limits on some activities. </p><p>Freedom Springs will allow a maximum of 700 guests, with only season pass holders allowed inside until July 4. After the holiday, day passes for the public will be available. The pool is set to close again Sept. 7.</p><p>The Greenwood Parks and Recreation Department enhanced its cleaning and disinfecting protocols, including regularly cleaning high-traffic areas and surfaces. When guests enter the facility, they will be required to adhere to the following:</p><p><ul><li>Everyone entering the facility must be screened for fevers, including employees</li><li>Six feet social distancing will be enforced with floor markings in place</li><li>Concession area seating is moved to shelters one and two</li><li>Family restrooms are strictly for families and ADA use only</li><li>Sunscreen stations have been converted to sanitizing stations</li><li>Lounge chairs have been placed to meet the six feet distance requirement</li><li>Tube capacity has been reduced</li><li>Lockers will remain closed until July 4</li><li>No shelter/party rentals until further notice</li><li>Cabanas are closed until further notice</li><li>North service gate is reserved as an exit only</li></ul></p><p>Season passes can be purchased at Freedom Springs and the Greenwood Community Center. People who are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, or are sick, should remain home and refrain from visiting public pools, the news release said. </p>
