WHITELAND
Daniel Lee Burris, 80 passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at his residence in Whiteland, Indiana.
He was born on July 24, 1939 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Florence (Dehoney) Lopossa and Charles Burris. Dan married Sharon R. (Sparks) on July 8, 1978. She lovingly survives. He is also survived by four sons, Paul Burris, Jerome Burris, Darren Burris and Shaun (Stacy) Burris. Also surviving is brother, Charles (Jane) Burris; sister, Sheri (Gene) Bradstreet; grandchildren, Devin, Drake, Addie, Kiersten, Chaince, Brandon and Matt and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in passing by his parents and maternal grandparents, John and Pearl Dehoney.
Dan attended Manuel High School. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.
He was employed by General Motors in Skilled Trades, retiring after many years of dedicated service.
Dan was a member of Greenwood Bible Baptist Church where he was a soul winner at the church. He was a very faithful man with his love of God.
Pastor Todd Pointer will conduct a service at Noon on Friday, June 19 at Greenwood Bible Baptist Church, 1461 Sheek Road, Greenwood, Indiana 46143. Friends may call on Friday, June 19 from 10:00 a.m. to time of service at Noon at the church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana where military honors will be conducted.
