NINEVEH, IN
Karen Lee (Johnson) Wanicki, 74 of Nineveh, IN, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2020 at her residence. She was born September 20, 1945 in Sterling, Illinois.
She married Charles D. Wanicki Sr. on June 8, 1963 in Hammond, IN, he preceded her in death on December 15, 2019.
She owned and operated Zip Convenience Store in Valparaiso, Indiana for twelve years.
Survivors include her son Robert Michael Wanicki (Theresa) of Nineveh, IN, two grandchildren Heather Lee Wanicki (Fiance’ Daniel Decker) of Trafalgar, IN and David Wanicki III of Greenwood, IN, two great grandchildren Scarlett Wanicki and Isabella Wanicki.
She was preceded in death by her father Lawrence J. Johnson and her Aunt Anna K. Hvalgren who raised her. A time of gathering and sharing will take place on Friday, July 3, 2020 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN.
