Roger Vincent Hacker

Roger Vincent Hacker, 64, of Columbus, died at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Columbus Regional Hospital.
</p>
<p>
Roger was born September 21, 1955, in Columbus, Indiana, the son of Roger and Joan Mikesell Hacker.
</p>
<p>
Mr. Hacker graduated from Franklin High School in 1973, joined the Untied States Army and later attended Ivy Tech. He worked at Golden Foundry for many years before retiring. Roger was a championship tennis player and enjoyed chemistry. He was completely devoted to his dog, Tinkerbell.
</p>
<p>
Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer Shepherd of Columbus; granddaughter, Zoie Shepherd; siblings, Sandy Hacker of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mike Hacker of Boulder, Colorado, Marsha Lewis of Indianapolis, Kirk Hacker of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Doug Hacker of Franklin; several nieces and nephews.
</p>
<p>
He was preceded in death by his parents.
</p>
<p>
In keeping with the family’s wishes, cremation will take place and no services are planned at this time.
</p>
<p>
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bartholomew County Humane Society.
</p>
