Jerry James Fentz, age 91, of Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2020 at Westminster Village North. He was born in Brightwood, Indiana on May 6, 1928 to James Jacob and Thelma Mildred (Fender) Fentz. He graduated from Mt. Comfort High School in 1946.
</p>
<p>
Jerry married Alice Patricia Fentz on May 28, 1950 in Indianapolis.
</p>
<p>
He was a carpenter for many years. Jerry was a member of Mt. Comfort United Methodist Church, where he was a Sunday school teacher for 20 years. He was also a member of Barbershoppers and Corvair Club. Jerry enjoyed working in his workshop and he was a member of the Red Wings roller hockey team.
</p>
<p>
Jerry is survived by his children, Michael Fentz of Muncie, Debra (John) Wilkison of Indianapolis, Larry (Terri) Fentz of Muncie, Rebecca Gibson of Fortville, and David Scott (Sonya) Fentz of Noblesville; 13 grandchildren, Jessica, Rachel, Matthew, Aaron, Kalin, Mitchell, Taylor, Christopher, Lyndsey, Alex, Sydney, Emma, and Adison; 19 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
</p>
<p>
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Thelma Fentz; wife, A. Patricia Fentz; brothers, John Victor Fentz and Edward Allen Fentz; and a sister, Patricia Mae Fentz.
</p>
<p>
A graveside service took place on Saturday, August 8, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
</p>
<p>
