Indianapolis man charged with rape in Johnson County

<p>Johnson County prosecutors charged an Indianapolis man after a relative said he raped her, twice.</p><p>Alexander James Peacock, 20, is charged with two counts of rape, both Level 3 felonies. He could face up to 32 years in prison if convicted on both counts and ordered to serve consecutive sentences.</p><p>The victim told police Peacock raped her two days in a row, Sept. 24 and Sept. 25, according to a probable cause affidavit filed in Johnson County Superior Court 2.</p><p>The victim reported the incidents in October. Charges were filed July 21, and police arrested Peacock Tuesday. The victim’s age is unclear, but she was interviewed at the Johnson County Child Advocacy Center, according to court documents.</p><p>On Sept. 24, outside the Johnson County house where the victim lived, Peacock started a conversation with her about sex, she told police. The victim told Peacock she would not have sex with him, court documents said.</p><p>Peacock told the victim to go beside the house, where he forced her to have sex with him, according to court documents.</p><p>The next day, Peacock went into the victim’s bedroom, where he forced her to have sex with him again, court documents said.</p><p>He used laundry such as shirts and blankets to clean up both times, which police collected for evidence. When asked how his bodily fluids ended up on laundry in the victim’s room, Peacock told police he would use her bedroom to masturbate because it was the only room in the house that had a lock on the door.</p><p>Two residents of the house told police that the bedroom actually locked from the outside only, so that could not be true, according to court documents.</p><p>Peacock denied having raped her, court documents said.</p><p>He is being held at the Johnson County jail on $11,500 bond.</p>
