Police look for suspects in gas station shooting

<p>Suspects fled and no one is believed to have been injured after a shooting Wednesday night at a Greenwood gas station, police said.</p><p>Greenwood police responded about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday to a report of shots fired at the Thornton’s gas station on U.S. 31 and Stop 18 Road. </p><p>One witness told police they saw a red vehicle pull into the parking lot and fire several shots at a gray SUV, according to a Greenwood Police Department report. The witness said a Black man who appeared to be in his 30s was driving the red vehicle, and the shooter, who appeared to be a biracial man also in his 30s, was in the passenger seat. The shooter was wearing a black hat. Both vehicles fled south on U.S. 31 after the shooting, the report said.</p><p>Another witness said they heard several shots fired between both vehicles, according to the report. </p><p>Greenwood police were still looking for the suspects involved Thursday, said Matt Fillenwarth, assistant police chief. </p>
